50 Col Challenge

I struggle to remember who introduced me to the idea of attempting 960km through the Pyrenees in 5 days that happened to include 50 of the meanest bad ass "Cols". But sitting here at OR Tambo waiting for the flight to Toulouse (via Frankfurt) I keep thinking to myself that "it seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm expecting a tough challenge but I can't help but think that I can't even begin to imagine......

Fortunately I have Mark (he would never let claim bragging rights to something this crazy on my own) and Gerhard, who is blessed to be oblivious to the "wailing and gnashing of teeth" that awaits him, along for company. It's obviously burning Nicky's arse not to be joining us because he has gone to great lengths to bring to our attention what we're letting ourselves in for. Bless him.
